It's the first feeling of warmth, since the chapter's closing. The solitary bird sings a song of joy but also of loss. The faint scent of grass and moss had nearly been lost to time.
Hold your breath on the hillside.
The first of melted snow trickles across the path like many times past. The light reaches out to grasp a new breath each day. Until it envelops all, as if it were a flame so intense in its wake.
Hold your breath on the hillside.
It has left its mark, the river reshaped the shore of the last warmth.
It has reshaped the frosted silence of the forest.
It has left its mark, the river reshaped the shore of the last warmth.
Hold your breath on the hillside as the spotted eagle soars by.

The return to a mountain stream, we see the passage of time and the changing of a season as it begins again.
The beauty of being; each breath taken and expelled. It depends on a singular moment in time.
This great pine will greet you as you arrive. It will hold you in its roots as you go.
The mountain stream calls us home. A new branch will grow.
As the bloom fades and the seed is sown, the warm wind that flows through the grass will one day make its way home.
